Classification of freeze dryers. In the research and development of the experimental series of freeze-drying machine, the ice content of each batch of cold trap is generally less than 6 kg, and the laminate area of drying room is less than 0.2 square meters.

The pilot scale and small-scale production series are used to simulate the freeze-drying process in pilot scale and small batch production. The freezing amount of each batch of cold trap is generally 6 ~ 25 kg, and the plate area of drying chamber is 0.2 ~ 2.0 square meters.

Industrial production series of freeze-drying machines are used for large-scale production in factories. The freezing capacity of each batch of freezing wells is more than 40 kg, some even more than 1000 kg, while the area of drying room is more than 2 square meters, some even more than 100 square meters.
